Frozen rocks



Igneous rock is rock formed from magma that solidifies. Based pembekuannya place, igneous rocks can be divided into two, namely igneous rocks and igneous rocks in the outside.

Based on the chemical content (content of SiO2), igneous rocks can be divided into four, namely igneous rocks of acid, alkaline igneous rocks, and ultramafic igneous rocks.
a. Acid igneous rocks, SiO2 content results,> 65%. Examples of these rocks, among others, granite and ryolit.
b. Intermediate igneous rocks, SiO2 content, between 52% -65%. Examples of this type of assistance is diorite and andesite.
c. Alkaline igneous rocks, SiO2 content of between 42% -52%. Examples of these rocks are gabbro and basalt.
