Settlement patterns (spread of the village)



Village or settlement distribution pattern is influenced by several factors, among others: the climate, soil fertility, water management, economic circumstances and culture of the population. In connection with the geographical conditions are not the same in every region, the shape of the pattern was different villages, among others:
1. The pattern of elongated (linear)
Elongated patterns usually follow the road, follow the river, following the railroad tracks, and follows the coast.

2. The pattern of spread (radial)
Diffuse pattern is generally found in mountainous areas or rugged highlands berelief. Settlements form a group of small units and spread.

3. The pattern of spread (dispersed)
