Understanding mirror

The mirror is an object that the surface is flat and smooth. Such surfaces can reflect light with regularly, because it only reflects light in one direction only. Regular reflection allows the formation of a shadow.
There are two kinds of shadows, namely:
a. Virtual image or a pseudo ie ghosting that can not be captured by the screen
b. True real image or the image can be captured with the screen.

Various mirrors:
- Flat Mirror
Shadow nature: virtual, erect, as large as the object, left-right reversed, the object distance = distance of the shadow. Flat mirror is used to ornate glass.

- Concave Mirror
Shadow properties:
1. Real, when the object away from the mirror
2. Maya, larger than the object, if the object is located near the mirror.
Concave mirror is used as a reflector in car headlights and projector.

- Convex mirror
Can only form a virtual image that is smaller than the object. Convex mirror is used for the rearview mirror on the car.
