Definition of electric current

Electric charge flows from place to place many electrically charged electrically charged slightly. The flow of electrical charge is called electric current. The size of the electric current expressed in units of ampere. Electric current can be measured using an instrument called ammeter or ammeter. Electric current has power. Power electric current is called electric voltage. The amount depends on the mains voltage power source. Size of the power supply voltage is expressed as volts. A tool used to measure the size of the power supply voltage is called a voltmeter.

Electric current will flow if the poles source forming a closed circuit. Every power source has two kinds of poles, the positive pole (+) and negative pole (-). Electric current flows from the positive pole to the negative pole. To connect and disconnect the electric current used switch.

Electric current flows through a conductor will experience obstacles called barrier conductor. The size of the barrier conductor is affected by:
a. Type of conducting material. The electrical resistance of copper greater than iron.
b. Wide conductor. The more extensive a conductor, the smaller the resistance.
c. Long conductor. The longer a conductor, the greater the resistance.
Size of electrical resistance is expressed in ohms. A tool to measure the amount of electrical resistance is ohmmeter.
