Ground

Soil derived from the weathering of inorganic materials (rock) and organic materials (residual plant / animal). Weathering that occurs because of the hot sun, rain, and wind. Weathering originating from an extraterrestrial force called exogenous.
Weathering the other can also be caused by melting of rocks because of the heat that occurs in the lithosphere. Which it spewed molten rock to the surface during volcanic eruptions, then freezing due to the drop in temperature occurs. Finally, the weathered rocks under the influence of the climate so that it becomes friable soil.
