Metamorphic rocks (Metamorphosis / metamorphic)

Metamorphic rock is rock formed as a result of heavy pressure and high temperatures experienced in the earth. Metamorphic term actually comes from the Greek word meaning "change" and "shape".

Metamorphic rocks formed after undergoing a process of metamorphosis. Metamorphic rocks can be derived from igneous or sedimentary rocks. The style that makes the changes it is heavy pressure, high temperature, or a combination of heavy pressure and high temperature that lasted for centuries, eg clay stone, after undergoing a process of metamorphosis transformed into slate (slate).

Heavy pressure can change the minerals present in the rocks and can also change the position of rocks, such as folding and tilt. Folds can lift the stones and make it a hill or a mountain.
