9 Mistakes that Can Stop Your Self Development

When you try to grow, it is easy to fall more than once and make yourself hurt the way to success, happiness, and all the things you want to achieve. Surely there are some holes in that you must take and be careful of course.

Below are nine common mistakes made when you're developing. I have made those mistakes. Even more than once.

Sharing this with me, I hope I hope you do not fall into the same hole as I did.

Now let us discuss the error 9:

1. Think That You Know It All
This is a big problem and can stop the development of your self for a long time. Thoughts like: "I understand how things work in this world. I do not need a salesman is to improve the quality of my life. They do not have anything new that they can offer. Only desperate people who need the book. It's just a matter of self-awareness course. "

It is this kind of thinking and attitude that will make you difficult to develop. When you read a self development books from authors such as Anthony Robbins, Brian Tracy or Stephen Covey; you will realize very quickly that the best advice they provide is not entirely related to self-awareness. In fact, the advice they give is often contrary to the truth of which we obtain from palajaran lessons in schools, media and other people around us.

2. Troubled by The Things That Are Trends
Mindset as the first point above is not entirely wrong. There are many salesmen that offer many things to you out there. And because the author or the most successful motivational speakers to understand how to communicate, there are many high-pressure sales techniques that you can earn by reading marketing books. Techniques such as small gifts and free offers for consumers, or by saying that there are only 500 pieces of similar products and this offer is only valid one week.

However, although some marketing techniques seem very optimistic or aggressive tended, that does not mean the product being offered does not have value. Differentiate between sales techniques with ditawarakan products.

In my opinion, start with the brands or products that have good reviews. Do a little research via google and search for information about these products.

3. Not Taking Action
Think that by reading books or blogs will change your life automatically is wrong thinking. Knowledge without action will not produce anything. And only you are able to change yourself. Other people can give you advice, support, and motivation. But in the end, you have to take action.

4. Give up
When you experience failure first, second or third, you usually think "It means nothing. This is me and I can not change. I had to familiarize myself thinking that I really like it. "
Do not give up. One or five or 20 failures would be meaningless in the long run. You have to fail so that you master something and grow.

5. Worried about or listen to the words of others
You may be afraid that people will react negatively to the changes you are doing, and they do tend to do so. Perhaps they do so because they fear you'll stay away from them and will miss you forever. Or maybe they do not want you to change as it will make them feel at rest. They may also give you a negative opinion on the development yourself, that everything you do is in vain, wasting time and real life is very different than that written in the book.

If you are at a stalemate, it is probably because you feel you need approval from others and you should begin to break away from the influence of these people. If not, you will forever live in the shadow of others and you will never grow.

6. Experimenting With How Your Own
Experimenting with the material development of your self; not commit to learn or practice and develop it consistently as part of your daily life. Maybe you feel the changes you are trying to do too difficult, or not feasible to do, so you are not committed to do so.

Is it hard to make these changes? Sometimes yes. However I feel that growth has more positive than negative values, and I think that from the standpoint of ordinary people - people who have not followed any self-development program - impressed that the people who are trying to make themselves look more developmental work hard, spend more money and time than if you look from the side of those who try to make changes. Hard work is not something that is difficult if you feel you are growing and loving what you are doing.

Is the change worth it? Obviously these changes better than other alternatives; just running to and fro every day and is filled with anger, stress and lack of self-esteem.
The key to all things in life is consistency and patience. Commit to your own development.

7. Expectations have a Not Cause
This may occur because of a lack of information. Sometimes the amount of information as well as the quality of the information you have. When you first start, you may feel that just by reading a book will solve all your problems. Not having a clear picture of what you can get will make you disappointed and like a loser without good reason, until you finally give up.

One method I use to remove myself from this condition is to develop the habit of "taking" motivational material at any time, either in the form of books, blogs or audio CD. I build my own small library and fill it with material development.

Re listening to a CD owned by Andrie Wongso example not only makes me more motivated, but also provides me with a solution to my problem. These habits - combined with the action - will make the things you want, what method is best for you and all the opportunities and constraints in the development of your self.

8. Failure To Or Not Wanting To Understand Yourself
To change yourself; you have to understand the processes going on inside you. How your emotions to work, your ego works, how your past experiences and you can influence your habits. And what you can do about these things. How you can help yourself. Even if you try to change parts of yourself you really want to change.

So in my opinion, do not just stick to one teacher and one mind. Read books or listen to other materials that come from famous authors to broaden your horizons and give you some solutions to your problems.

Try to be more introspective; aware of the process that happens within you when you become angry, depressed, jealous or envious. Try to act differently than you normally do.

Rather than take action as you normally do, practice what you have learned to deal with your habits. If you fail - just like most people, paculah keep yourself - take time to analyze why you feel or do something negative.

If you do not have control over your actions, would be very difficult to help yourself and others. You will find a solution that is ineffective, become discouraged, and eventually cease to grow.

9. Not Taking Responsibility for Yourself
It is very important. Do not blame others. You who can make such changes.

That's the 9 things that can hinder the development of yourself and I am sure there are many other things ha. But I would add the other items on another occasion.

If you have any other suggestions, please feel free to add in the comments.
